The robotics team from Foothill High School in Pleasanton, California, FHS Robotics, has grown dramatically in size and scope over the past three years. Starting out with just five people and one team in the 2008-2009 VEX Robotics Competition, VEX Elevation, Foothill Robotics, in its third year, now fields three teams, and over twenty people. Still, our relatively young team has won numerous regional competitions, and will be participating in the VEX Robotics World Championship for the third consecutive year.
Members of Team 1000 have the unique experience to explore the world of engineering in a hands-on environment. The opportunities that come with being a member of a robotics team such as FHS Robotics are irreplaceable, and have allowed many students to gain a better understanding of a very plausible career choice.
